'Lin Marsh is one of those remarkable composers who writes infectious melodies that everyone loves to sing. Her songs are a staple of the educational world and children of all ages grow up learning to sing through her music. She writes with a wonderful sense of line which is characterful, at times quirky, other times lyrical and always creating a synergy of words and music. She has an amazing gift to write music which is accessible and challenging and takes the listener on a journey of discovery.'

Well the lack of posts has simply meant a very busy few months! Last summer I directed 10 concerts in Surrey with 300 children at a time – performing musical theatre songs and many of mine. Two great “Big Sings” in Fife earlier this year, and years one and two in Great Yarmouth have been great fun. Bournemouth carol concerts are always a delight. 

 

I’m thrilled to be a patron of Chiltern Music Academy – their Big Ten concert this month was
wonderful, giving so many young performers the chance to shine and the standard was

Currently composing songs and rounds for young singers for ABRSM music medals.

Absolutely loved working in Hong Kong at Kellett School for Will Payne and really looking
forward to work in Patana school Bangkok in two weeks.

In the meantime I have just had a first playthrough of a community musical for the village of Lympstone in Devon. 

 

Wonderful to have people of all generations singing together.
